Will not Support Contractor’s Suggestion

Business Letter

Dear ...

We have considered your proposal to __(briefly describe what the he/she is proposing to do)__ and for a number of reasons we do not support this suggestion.

  1. Firstly, we believe that we risk the possibility __(briefly describe top reason why it is risky – that the granite countertop will not be professionally cut to correct measurement due to the substandard cutting equipment at the site)__.
  2. Secondly, we are not prepared to __(give 3rd reason why proposal not acceptable – i.e. have another subcontractor involved in this project. The potential for delays always increases the more subcontractors that are involved.
  3. And, thirdly, we know that __(briefly describe 2nd reason why you won’t support this proposal – i.e. other contractors do not have difficulty having the finished product transported to the site without breakage. If this is a serious concern of yours, then we suggest that you make alternative arrangements to have it professionally delivered.

We stand firm in the decision we’ve made and request that you have the __(briefly describe the way you want it done – i.e. the countertop professionally cut at the manufacturer’s location and delivered safely to the site for installation)__. Thank you.

Yours truly,
